Accelerated Mining & Engineering Services was appointed as the only contractor at Royal Bafokeng  Platinum’s Styldrift Mine. 

Styldrift Mine is a mechanized underground mine located on one of the last known high grade blocks of shallow Meresky reef deposits in the Northern East of the Bushveld Igneous Complex, close to Rustenburg. AMS worked in partnership with the mine to achieve the production milestone of 150k tons in October 2018 and the ramping up to a steady state output of 230k tons. AMS was responsible for approximately 30 – 40% of the said production target. This demonstrate the responsibility AMS assumed being the main contractor in Styldrift Mine to support its production targets. In this regard, AMS was responsible for the full process including Development, Construction, Engineering, Stopping, Loading and Hauling.

Complex underground mining and process constraints are not an issue for our skilled problem-solving teams who minimize bottlenecks, unforeseen downtime and maximize production.

•  Crew to first exceed 2000 m2 per month

•  Crew to first exceed 40m2/employee per month

•  Crew to exceed 40m2/employee per month most frequently, i.e. three times

•  Record 40m2/employee
